EGG’s internet banking call centre is located in Pride Park on the eastern outskirts of Derby. With banking halls the size of 6 football pitches, EGG quite justifiably pride themselves in creating a pleasant working environment for it’s staff. This runs to the provision of a 6KW background music system with zoned music catering for different tastes and levels. This is augmented by multiple video screens both for news and market updates, internally generated statistical information and, on special occasions, sporting events. Installed originally back in 1998, the system has recently been updated with the creation of a number of independent training rooms, each with its own simple AV system, as well as transferring then building wide Audio and Video delivery systems into DSP based systems remotely administered by the internal LAN system. This upgrade replaces two racks full of mainly analogue signal processing & routing with two small DSP processors allowing valuable space to be recovered in the media room, but more importantly it allows authorised operators to log on and adjust Audio & Video content and level within their own area. Audio processing is carried on with Peavey X-Frames, Video Processing by Kramer Seamless switchers and overall control via Crestron processors & X-Panels. |
